The Netherlands participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 which took place in Minsk, Belarus on 25 November 2018.

For the first time in the history of Junior Songfestival, the competing songs were written fully by famous Dutch musicians.

The Netherlands have won the contest on one occasion: in 2009 with the song "Click Clack" performed by Ralf Mackenbach.

In 2017, the Netherlands placed 4th out of 16 entries with the song "Love Me" performed by the boy band Fource.

After this, voters also had the option to watch longer one-minute clips from each participant's rehearsal.

The second phase of the online voting took place during the live show and began right after the last performance and was open for 15 minutes.
