The racial makeup of the town was 95.7% White, 2.2% African American, and 2.2% from two or more races.

23.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were no families and 6.3% of the population living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 100.0% of those over 64.
