New Paris is a census-designated place (CDP) in Elkhart County, Indiana, United States.
[4] New Paris was laid out in 1839 by settlers from Preble County, Ohio.
[8] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.5 km2), all land.
There were 390 housing units at an average density of 468.8 per square mile (181.0/km2).
20.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
In 2004, construction began on a new elementary school that was in a more rural area of New Paris.
