New Trenton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Whitewater Township, Franklin County, Indiana.

[6] The community was named after Trenton, New Jersey, the native home of a share of the first settlers.

U.S. Route 52 passes through the community, leading northwest (upriver) 11 miles (18 km) to Brookville and southeast (downriver) 6.5 miles (10.5 km) to Harrison, Ohio.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the New Trenton CDP has an area of 0.44 square miles (1.14 km2), all land.
