Nezperce, Idaho

Nezperce is named for the local Nez Perce tribe of Native Americans.

("Nezperce" derives from a corruption of the French words nez percé, literally "pierced nose.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.40 square miles (1.04 km2), all of it land.

Nezperce has a municipal airport, primarily used by cropdusters and light aircraft.

The racial makeup of the city was 95.1% White, 4.1% Native American, 0.2% Asian, and 0.6% from two or more races.

28.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

22.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
