Nichols Satinet Mill Site

97-14, is a historic industrial archeological site in Newtown, Connecticut.

The site was listed on the National Register more than a decade after residents created the nature center.

Listing was believed to increase the chance that it could become the focus of a dig by state archeologists.

[2] The property was studied in 1983 by George W. Adams, with the assistance of Albert S. Knapp, in a study that led to creation of the nature center, consisting of about 32 acres (13 ha).
