Nicole Sifuentes

Nicole Sifuentes (née Edwards; born 30 June 1986) is a Canadian track and field athlete who specialises in middle-distance running events.

Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, her first global outing came at the 2003 World Youth Championships in Athletics in Sherbrooke where she reached the semi-finals of the 800 metres.

She was selected for the 1500 metres at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships, but she did not manage to make the event final.

[2] She earned selection for the combined Americas team at the 2010 IAAF Continental Cup and won the silver medal in the 1500 m, finishing ahead of her more experienced American counterpart Christin Wurth-Thomas.

[14] Nicole Sifuentes helped lead Michigan, working closely under cross country head coach and track and field associate head coach Mike McGuire, to Big Ten team titles.
