Night Watch (Phillips novel)

Night Watch is a 2023 novel by Jayne Anne Phillips which, alongside being longlisted for the National Book Award, won the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.

They are brought to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in West Virginia by a war veteran who has forced himself into their lives.

They become part of the facility's life, meeting the mysterious Night Watch, an orphan named Weed, the strict woman who runs the kitchen, and the remarkable doctor in charge of the institution.
