Ninigi Susanoo (Gozu Tenno) Nitta Yoshisada Nitta Shrine (Japanese: 新田神社 (薩摩川内市)) is a Shinto shrine located in Satsumasendai, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.
It contains Nitta Hachimangu, an ichinomiya, and the first ranked shrine of Satsuma Province but itself is larger than merely that.
It is located at the top of Mount Shinki (神亀山).,[1] It is on a hill that overlooks the Sendai River.
[2][3] In 1874, the Imperial Household Ministry identified the tomb located behind the shrine as the Mt.
It is believed to be the burial site of Ninigi no Mikoto, the grandfather of Emperor Jimmu.
