He split the 2016 season between the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes and the Double-A Hartford Yard Goats, batting .296/.331/.414 with 3 home runs and 35 RBI.

[3] The Rockies added Cuevas to their 40-man roster on November 7, 2017, in order to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.

[4] Cuevas was called up to the majors for the first time on April 22, 2018, and made his debut that day.

[7] On January 22, 2020, Cuevas signed a minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs.

[8] He did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
