Noordbroek (Gronings:Noordbrouk) is a village in the Dutch province of Groningen.
[3] The village was first mentioned in 1273 as "in Broke", and means north swampy forest.
[4] Noordbroek is a road village which developed in the Late Middle Ages on a sandy ridge at the border with Oldambt.
[5] The Dutch Reformed church dates from the 14th century and has a detached tower.
[5] The grist mill De Noordstar was built in 1849, but is no longer in service.
