Dawson remained active in the party taking on the role of Secretary and Nominating Officer.

The party nominated its founding member Hilton Dawson in Hartlepool for the first parliamentary by-election of the 2020s.

At the 2021 local elections, the party retained two of its councillors on Durham County Council in Passfield and Peterlee West wards.
