North Yelm is a census-designated place (CDP) in Thurston County, Washington, United States.
[1] The community borders Yelm and is situated near the intersection of Washington State Route 507 and SR 510.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.4 square miles (8.8 km2), all of it land.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 2,793 people, 1,006 households, and 751 families residing in the CDP.
19.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
