Northwest is a city in Brunswick County, North Carolina, United States.

Routes 74 and 76 (Andrew Jackson Highway) pass along the southern border of the community, leading 13 miles (21 km) east to Wilmington and 33 miles (53 km) west to Whiteville.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.0 square miles (18.2 km2), all land.
