[1] Nybro was founded as a rest area for travellers on the road between Växjö in the west and Kalmar in the east.

Nybro calls itself "The city within the Kingdom of Crystal", the latter being a region with 15 active glassworks including Kosta Boda and Orrefors.

The club went up from Hockeyettan to Hockeyallsvenskan season 22/23, and had two years in the highest league back in the 60's.

The background is golden and the coat of arms depicts a red bridge in the lower part and a pair of black crossbows in the upper.

The symbol can be traced back to coats of arms of the province of Småland and the hundred of Södra Möre but its origin is unknown.
