Ołtaszyn

Ołtaszyn (Polish pronunciation: [ɔwˈtaʂɨn], German: Oltaschin, [ˈɔltaʃɪn]) is a district in Wrocław, Poland, located in the southern part of the city.

Later, in the Nazi era, the settlement was renamed to Herzogshufen to erase traces of Polish origin.

[3] In 1921, Breslau (Wrocław) was the most densely populated of the major German cities and the development of its nearby areas became a necessity.

Ołtaszyn is considered to be one of the settlements in Wrocław that was Germanized for the longest period of time.

[6] Since early 2000s, the districts has experienced a rapid growth with a number of new developments, both individual and multi-family housing, becoming a highly desirable area to live.
