The Clay County portion of the community was defined as the Oakleaf Plantation Census-Designated Place (CDP) in advance of the 2010 census.
[4] State Road 23 (First Coast Expressway), Jacksonville's future outer beltway, runs north–south through the center of OakLeaf Plantation.

There is a championship golf course developed by East-West Partners[7] and 15 miles of pedestrian and bicycle pathways.
