Oberschleißheim station

A station was built in Oberschleißheim in the late 1850s as part of the original Munich-Regensburg Railway.

In addition to the facilities for passenger operations there were freight tracks, some company sidings, a branch line to Garching-Hochbrück and a siding to Schleissheim Airfield (Flugplatz Schleißheim, the oldest operating airport in Germany, built in 1912).

Track 1 is used by line S1 services of the Munich S-Bahn towards the city centre.

Track 2 is used by S-Bahn services terminating or starting in Oberschleißheim or being overhauled.

The northern underpasses has lifts, giving access for the disabled, and connects to the bus stop in the station forecourt.
