Kilifi started in both of the March 2014 qualifying matches against Uruguay for the 2015 World Cup, and was at that time considered among the U.S. team's best scrummagers.
Kilifi began playing with the Seattle Seawolves of Major League Rugby in 2018 and is currently a 2-time champion, winning back-to-back Major League Rugby titles in the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
