He is a former Lumpinee Stadium Lightweight Champion, as well as the 1994 Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fighter of the Year, who was famous during the 1990s and 2000s.
The son of a Thai mother and an American father, he was born Somkid Deomprakon.

This style led him to put on very entertaining fights, some of them awarded "Fight of the Year" by Muay Thai institutions such as the Lumpinee Stadium or the Sports Writer Association of Thailand.
