Oscar Douglas Hillgaar (born 8 November 1945) is a Norwegian politician formerly representing the Progress Party.
After completing his education he worked at Bodø, Bardufoss, Karmøy and Fornebu until 1989.
[1] Hillgaar entered politics to fight for traffic safety in his own neighborhood.
From 1998 to 2000 he was also a secretary for the trade union Norwegian Air Traffic Controllers' Association.
[1] Already in 1994 he had stated that were it not for the circumstances in Sandefjord politics, he might as well have joined the Labour Party—or the Conservative Party—already in the 1980s.
