Ostředek is a municipality and village in Benešov District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

Ostředek consists of five municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] Ostředek is located about 11 kilometres (7 mi) northeast of Benešov and 31 km (19 mi) southeast of Prague.

The highest point is at 520 m (1,710 ft) above sea level.

The brook Ostředecký potok originates here, flows across the municipality and supplies a system of fishponds.
