Over Wallop is a small village and civil parish in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, England.
The village lies close to the border with Wiltshire, approximately 5.1 miles (8.2 km) northwest of Stockbridge.
The name "Wallop" derives from the Old English words waella and hop, which taken together roughly mean "the valley of springing water".
The earthwork, known as the Quarley High Linear band and ditch, was constructed 245 ± 155 BC.
