Padang Jawa is a village between the towns Shah Alam and Klang.

Universiti Teknologi MARA main campus is located around 2 kilometers from the halt.

A 47 km branch line to Kuala Selangor once began from this station, until it was closed in the 1930s.

[1] The Smart Selangor Bus route SA04 connects KTM Padang Jawa to Section 7 Shah Alam (for heading to I-City and UiTM) or Shah Alam Bus Terminal in Section 17.

However, the SA04 bus may not enter KTM Padang Jawa bus stop due to congestion from nearby school or during Sunday morning market in Padang Jawa.
