Pak Thae-song (박태성, born 14 September 1955)[1] is a North Korean politician.
[2][3][4] On 29 December 2024, Pak was appointed Premier of North Korea at the conclusion of the annual year-end general meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea thereby succeeding Kim Tok-hun.
In August 2012, he became vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
In 2021, he briefly disappeared from the official appearance of North Korea, and rumors of a purge were circulating.
In January 2023, it was confirmed that he resigned as the chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly, and he is currently serving as a member of the political bureau of the Workers' Party of Korea and secretary of the secretariat.
