Palestinian Football Association

Its national team, Mandatory Palestine national football team, participated in qualifying rounds for the 1934 Football World Cup and 1938 FIFA World Cup.

At that time, Palestine was primarily associated with the local Jewish population, as the Arab population did not identify as Palestinians until 1948 and more broadly in 1964 after the formation of The Palestine Liberation Organization.

A Palestine Football Association representing the Palestinian Arabs was formed in 1962, the original Palestinian Football Association was formed in 1928 by the local Jewish residence [7] and has been a member of the Union of Arab Football Associations since that was formed in 1974.

[8] It was accepted as a member by FIFA in 1998, after the creation of the Palestinian Authority.

[10] The football division system is parted into two: the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
