It drains the southwest slopes of Mount Rokitansky in Stribog Mountains, and flows south-southwestwards into Lanusse Bay east of Driencourt Point and northwest of Baykal Point.

The glacier is named after the settlement of Palilula in Northwestern Bulgaria.
