Paluʼe

Paluʼe island is under the administrative region of Sikka Regency of East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia.

The island has an area of 39.69 km2 and population of 9,497 people (at the 2020 Census); the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 9,874,[1] resident in eight mountain villages.

Paluʼe can be reached from Maumere, the Sikka Regency capital on Flores, which takes six hours by wooden motorboat.

Rokatenda (Paluweh) volcano is located in the northern region of Paluʼe.

The volcano erupted on August 10, 2013 and killed six people, three adults and three children.
