[3] Papakura Local Board Area covers 40.25 km2 (15.54 sq mi)[1] and had an estimated population of 80,400 as of June 2024,[2] with a population density of 1,998 people per km2.
The results were 36.7% European (Pākehā); 24.6% Māori; 20.5% Pasifika; 34.2% Asian; 1.7% Middle Eastern, Latin American and African New Zealanders (MELAA); and 1.8% other, which includes people giving their ethnicity as "New Zealander".
The percentage of people born overseas was 37.3, compared with 28.8% nationally.
