Pareas hamptoni

Pareas hamptoni, also known commonly as Hampton's slug snake, is a species of snake in the family Pareidae.

The species is native to Southeast Asia.

The specific name, hamptoni, is in honor of Herbert Hampton, collector of the holotype.

[3] P. hamptoni is found in Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.

[1][2][4][5][6] The preferred natural habitat of P. hamptoni is forest, at altitudes of 600–1,500 m (2,000–4,900 ft).
