Parkview Senior Primary School

The school opened on 10 April 1917 as Parkview Government Schoolm with 19 children, one teacher, and acting headmistress Mrs. Endly.

The wood and iron building consisted of two rooms on the site of the present Parkview Junior School.

Three months after the school opened, Miss G.E Lance was appointed principal.

School attendance in the years that followed was greatly affected by epidemics such as Spanish influenza and scarlet fever, as well as by a number of strikes.

For the next thirty years, the increase in enrolment outstripped the provision of additional classrooms.
