For the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, which redrew the constituency map ahead of the 2024 general election, the Boundary Commission for England opted to combine Wiltshire with Gloucestershire as a sub-region of the South West Region, with the creation of the cross-county boundary constituency of South Cotswolds, resulting in a major reconfiguration of Chippenham.

[3][4] The following seats were proposed: Containing electoral wards in the Borough of Swindon Containing electoral wards in the Wiltshire unitary authority district Under the Fifth Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the Boundary Commission for England decided to increase the number of seats in Wiltshire from 6 to 7, with the re-establishment of Chippenham, which affected neighbouring constituencies.

An adjusted Westbury constituency was renamed South West Wiltshire.
