Parul ran barefoot as a teenager and competed in 800 metres in her school starting 2011.

It helped her land a job with the Western Railway in 2015 when she moved to Mumbai.

[4] In July 2023, Chaudhary won a gold in women's 3000m steeplechase in the Asian Athletics Championships held at Bangkok.

[5] In August, at the World Athletics Championships held in Budapest, she registered a personal best time and national record in 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:15.31, in the process, qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

[6] At the Hangzhou Asian Games in October 2023, she claimed gold in the 5000 m event and silver in 3000 m steeplechase.
