Pata, Central African Republic

Pata, also known as Kpata, is a village in the Bamingui-Bangoran prefecture in the northern Central African Republic.

The LRA's incursion caused the villagers to flee to Takara and Yangoubrindji.

[2] An armed group visited Pata at the beginning of October 2023 to demand the villagers pay the ransom of one million CFA francs and the villagers paid it with the assistance from traders.

However, four days later, the same militia group returned to the village and occupied it.
