[13] On 10 February 2022, Janečková announced on her Instagram page that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and would take a career hiatus for an undetermined length of time.

[16] Janečková returned to stage, 15 December 2022, performing the role of Esmerelda in the comic opera The Bartered Bride.
