Pau Donés Cirera (11 October 1966 – 9 June 2020) was a Spanish songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist of the Barcelona-based band Jarabe de Palo (also named "Jarabedepalo").

[3] Donés split his schedule between performing concerts locally, working as an advertising agent,[4] and studying economics.

[5] Their debut album, La Flaca,[6] became a commercial success in Spain after being featured in a TV advertisement.

[9] In 2018, he released a live album with the Costa Rican Philharmonic Orchestra, entitled Jarabe Filarmónico.

[8] Donés had a daughter named Sara, but was absent for much of her childhood because of his touring commitments.
