Pekin, North Dakota

Pekin (/ˈpiːkɪn/ PEEK-in) is a city in Nelson County, North Dakota, United States.

[3] The first European settlers immigrated to the area in the mid-19th century and Pekin was founded in 1906.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.25 square miles (0.65 km2), all land.

41.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 23.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

46.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 31.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were no families and 9.0% of the population living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 22.2% of those over 64.
