Pleurotomaria (Perotrochus) Fischer 1885 Perotrochus is a genus of large sea snails with gills and an operculum, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Pleurotomariidae, the slit snails, (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005).
The shell has a conical shape.
The whorls are striate or granulate.
The anal fasciole is submedian or below the middle.
