Petar Metličić (born 25 December 1976) is a Croatian former handball player.
[2] He won the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens[3][4] as well as at the 2003 World Championship in Portugal.
At club level he played in the top tier in Croatia, Spain, Slovenia and France.
In September 2007 he opened, alongside his former colleague Ivano Balić, the "Balić-Metličić" handball academy.
[5] From February 2015 to January 2017 he served as an assistant coach to Željko Babić in the Croatia men's team.
