Peter McCleary

A Visiting professor in architecture at the Technical University of Munich since 2008, in 2011 he held the TÜV SÜD Stiftung (Foundation) Professorship.

In 1964, he joined the faculty of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania to teach courses in the field of structures and to assist Robert Le Ricolais.

During his tenure at UPenn, this "engineer with profound architectural and historical interests"[3] taught Structures and Philosophy of Technology courses, supervised design studios and Ph.D. research.

Notable collaborations include his involvement in Louis Kahn's project for the Venice Congress Hall, Weiss/Manfredi's Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Washington D.C., and partnerships with Bernard Huet, Jean-Marc Lamunière, Patrick Mestelan, Brauen + Waelchli, James Carpenter, and others.

[5][6] He was the curator of the exhibition "Visions and Paradoxes: The Structural Research of Robert Le Ricolais" that premiered in 1997 at the Architectural Archives of the University of Pennsylvania.
