Peter Samuel Russo (born 13 September 1955) is an Australian politician.

He is the Labor Party member for Toohey (formerly Sunnybank) in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since 2015.

[2] Prior to being elected, Russo was the Principal of Russo Lawyers and is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Courts of Queensland, New South Wales, and Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.

He has been involved in many high-profile cases, including representing Dr Mohamed Haneef in 2007 and 2008.
