Philip Robert Hower (January 26, 1942 – April 19, 2014) was an American football coach and educator.
He served as the head football coach at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas from 1977 to 1980, compiling a record of 22–14.
Hower attended Southwestern College, where he played football and was named to the Methodist All-American University and Elevens team.
In 1977, he was hired as the head football coach at Southwestern College, succeeding Jim Paramore.
[1] Hower resigned from his post at Southwestern in 1981 to return to Winfield High School as a math teacher and assistant football coach.
