[1] In addition, it runs an art bookshop called The Library Project, which is host to a gallery programme and offers the PhotoIreland collection of photobooks as a resource library in Temple Bar, Dublin.
Working with curator Moritz Neumüller, the organisation held its first annual (month long) "PhotoIreland Festival" in 2010.
[3] It was founded as part of the PhotoIreland Foundation's work in 2011 with the aim of "improving access to specialised photography printed material for purchase or study".

PhotoIreland and The Library Project found permanent premises in Temple Bar in 2013.
