Phyllidia babai is a species of sea slug, a dorid nudibranch, a shell-less marine gastropod mollusk in the family Phyllidiidae.
[1][2] The specific name babai is in honor of Kikutaro Baba,[1] Japanese malacologist.
The holotype of this species was collected at Lion Island, Papua New Guinea, 9°32′10″S 147°16′19″E / 9.536°S 147.272°E / -9.536; 147.272.
It has also been reported from North Sulawesi, Lembeh Strait, southern Queensland, Australia, South Korea and rarely on Okinawa.
Its white-coloured, pointed, oral tentacles have lateral grooves, and they also are trimmed in yellow.
