Pilníkov (German: Pilnikau) is a town in Trutnov District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic.
The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone.
Due to its similarity with the Czech words pilný ('diligent') and pilník ('file'), the name was distorted to Pilníkov.
The town was badly damaged during the Thirty Years' War and depopulated, but it recovered.
[6] The main landmark is the Church of the Holy Trinity in the middle of the town square.
