Pinewood is a civil parish and electoral ward in the Babergh district of the English county of Suffolk.
The parish was formed on 1 April 1994 from parts of Washbrook, Belstead and Wherstead.
[2] It is in the Belstead Brook electoral division of Suffolk County Council.
Bobbitshole is a 1.8 hectares (4.4 acres) Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) designated for its geological importance.
It is a nationally important reference site for the study of the Pleistocene, providing a record of the buildup of sediment and organic material during the last inter-glacial period.
