[10] Plainfield North competes in the Southwest Prairie Conference and Illinois High School Association, and its mascot is the Tiger.

In the 2007-2008 season, girls' bowling won both conference and sectional titles and advanced to the state competition where they placed 13th.

The marching band has seen continued success, winning local competitions and competing in BOA regionals.

A former dance teacher was allegedly caught by police having sex with a male 16-year-old student in the parking lot of a Kohl's at around 6:00 p.m. on a school night and was brought to trial for sexual abuse in 2011.
