Rhizopodella Cooke (1879) Plectania is a genus of fungi in the family Sarcosomataceae.
It was circumscribed by German botanist Karl Wilhelm Gottlieb Leopold Fuckel in 1870.
[2] There were 15 species in the genus in 2008,[3] this has increased to 19 by 2023.
[4] It has a widespread, cosmopolitan distribution, especially in northern temperate areas.
