Plougonvelin (French pronunciation: [pluɡɔ̃vlɛ̃]; Breton: Plougonvelen) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France.
The average annual rainfall is 640.5 mm (25.22 in) with December as the wettest month.
The temperatures are highest on average in August, at around 17.5 °C (63.5 °F), and lowest in February, at around 7.8 °C (46.0 °F).
Inhabitants of Plougonvelin are called in French Plougonvelinois.
The municipality launched a plan for the Breton language through Ya d'ar brezhoneg on 16 June 2005.
