Poland is an incorporated town in Chautauqua County, New York.
The early economy was based on forestry, but after the trees were cut down, agriculture dominated.
[2] The Southern Tier Expressway (Interstate 86 and New York State Route 17) passes across the northern part of the town.

20.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
